Our number one concern is the safety of your Children, our Staff, and greater Community.

With classes of only 5 students and being 100% outdoors we have a great advantage over indoor programs to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Face Coverings & Masking

Face coverings are not required, but if you prefer you child to be masked please let us know, they are most essential in times when physical distancing is difficult. But by being 100% outdoors we have plenty of room to spread out, play and explore.

Recognize Signs & Symptoms

We ask that families continue to conduct daily health checks (e.g., temperature screening and symptom checking). This will help speed up the drop-off process we will be using.

Stay Home When Appropriate

All children, caregivers, and staff are asked to stay home if feeling ill or have symptoms shown below.

  • Loss of taste/smell

  • Shortness of breath

  • Diarrhea

  • Fever 100.4F

  • Chills

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Headache

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Congestion/runny nose

Program Changes & Alterations

Things will look a little different year, with the addition of daily health screenings, masks and giving each other a little more space when playing in the forest.

Communal Meals & Shared Spaces -
During class we will eat in dispersed areas at various camps in the forest where it is easy to spread out. If we are to eat at our covered snack area children will be spread between 3 large tables with plenty of space for everyone.

Modified Layouts -
Prioritize outdoor activities where social distancing can be maintained as much as possible. (We already operate with 1 teacher per 5 children, so if necessary, spacing small groups further apart won’t be a problem.)

Hand washing stations are used one at a time and have physical guides such as marks on the floor or rocks on the trail to ensure that others remain at least 6 feet apart.

Maintaining Healthy Environments -
We will clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at least daily. And limit the use of shared objects and clean between use.

Food and Drink -
Children will bring their own food and water from home and are not able to share during COVID-19.

Please use containers for food and water bottles that the children can open themselves. This will help us be able to keep our distance, and of course we will help them if needed.

Hand Hygiene and Respiratory Etiquette -
Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be available; cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue that will then be thrown away quickly.
